The town that's home to Zingerman's, the Michigan Stadium, and the Michigan Theater takes on a contemplative, at times moody look through Davis' method, a process of manipulating the gel-like chemicals in Polaroid film while it is still developing.
The result is a unique blend of photo-realism and impressionism that gives both alumni and "townies" a view of their favorite local landmarks like they've never seen before.
Cynthia Davis has won over 100 major awards and has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in galleries, universities, and museums, as well as major art festivals around the country. She lives in Ann Arbor.
