Product Description How realistic is it to believe that one lover can satisfy a woman’s every fantasy?
Nia Simone Bijou is a woman who has it all - and is driven by the desire for more. Born in Trinidad, reared in Los Angeles, living in Atlanta, Nia is a writer, a thinker, and a woman in conflict. She’s dealing with two sides of her Gemini self, feeling as if there are two women living inside her, both struggling for domination. One side of Nia is a logical yet heartbroken person who has never let go of an old pain, while the other side is a sensual woman who will not let her rest, desiring intimacy and sexual freedom, demanding Pleasure.
In the sweltering heat of July, loneliness, desire, and a struggle with both the sensual self and fantasy inspire Nia to become sexually adventurous, meeting lovers who arouse her in diverse ways, lovers who give her unimaginable experiences, generous lovers who desire to please her as much as she desires to satisfy them. Fantasies spiral out of control, and with her life on the line, Nia discovers that Pleasure does not come without pain.
Filled with passion, populated with characters that are sexually uninhibited, Pleasure is an unforgettable journey into a free-spirited world.

Trying too hard!!!! October 9, 2008 It's obvious to almost anyone who has read the last 3 books by EJD that he is impressed with his newfound vocabulary and ability to travel abroad. I'm all for expanding my horizons but this was just too much. The main character was not interesting at all. There was nothing in this book that made me care about her or the other characters. Nia comes across as nothing more than EJD's idea/fantasy of a perfect woman. I've been able to travel and socialize with people from different backgrounds so I'm not impressed with EJD's descriptive details on what he thinks are high-end or exclusive hotels, stores etc. Maybe he should spend more time developing more realistic characters and less time trying to impress his readers with his knowledge of words and the latest hot spots.I've only read 100 pages or so but so far I am not thrilled with this latest effort by EJD.
Pleasure Indeed October 9, 2008 When I first started reading this it didn't seem at all what I was expecting. As I kept turning the pages the story started to absorb into me. After all what woman wouldn't want two men. If it is too good to be true it usually is. Nia meets two brothers (twins) that tap into that dark desire. One smart, one a little thuggish. Their sexual adventures are indeed pleasurable but soon spiral out of control. A Seductive, tingling, satisfying read.

too unrealistic October 8, 2008 Although I enjoy some of his other books, this one didn't do it for me. It was a slow book, and very unrealistic. The sexual encounters are very graphic which made it a pleasure to read.
wELL.. October 7, 2008 I would like to say I love this book but Amazon could done better if they would send my info to the person i was buying the book from them..
Pure Pleasure September 30, 2008 I am an EJD fan till the end. I loved this book. Ok, now see, I love Gideon and I didn't want to read a book without him, but I couldn't resist. I opened the book and started reading and read it all weekend long. It was so good that I told everyone I could find about it. I told the women at the nailshop, the men in the shoe store, the lady at the ticket counter at the theater, the chef at my favorite dinner spot and even the customer service lady on the phone for the cable company. Hey, we had to talk about something, so why not. Having an English degree, I admire and respect how Dickey ties in great literary figures. Carter did it in "Palace Council" with "Paradise Lost" and Anais as an alter ego is fantastic and perfect for this book. I love you EJD and I wish you happy writng.
