 Pleasantly surprised.... July 14, 2008
I got this on a whim. I never thought I could get hot & bothered over a big purple elf! Wrong! That just goes to show you what a talanted sex scene writer Jet Mykles is! The storylines themselves are, of course, lacking of any substance. But, Jet makes up for it in her ability to write sizzling erotica.

This was my first book from Jet Mykles. I loved the story line and the characters were beyond any others in this genre. I can't wait to read the latest from Jet!! Happy reading/lusting!

This book grabbed me from the beginning and did not let go. I was not ready for it to end and can't wait to read the next entry. The characters in this book are so sexy, they leave you panting. I loved the sex scenes they were very titillating. I would not pass up a chance to read this book, it is well worth the time.

I'm not giving it 5 stars simply because it left me feeling a bit ... bereft? Not sure. The writing was good, the sex scenes hot and the idea is very very hot, I like the characters, etc. but I wanted MORE. I wanted to know more about the king and his "issues", I wanted to know what the fact that Suzana has this ability to control emotions mean and how that links to the prophecy of the king. What about the comment about men becoming more prevalent and finding them soon? Will there be invasions? Will Diana fight at Salin's side to protect the rhaedjour (sp?)? So while the relationship stories were great I wanted more backstory, tell me about the city, how the kids are raised, what they eat, just more meat on the bones of a great story about a particular couple. I see there is a new book and maybe these themes are explored more then. I think its a great concept but I think it would have been possible to write a book twice as long that told me more of the stuff I want to know in between the hot sex.
