Product Description
As the quaint resort town of Warner Pier, Michigan, prepares for the Fourth of July, Lee McKinney and her aunt Nettie debut their latest confections: chocolate frogs, fish, and lizards. The first to buy a chocolate croaker is the town crank, Hershel Perkins - only minutes after having an altercation in the post office with Lee's boyfriend, Joe Woodyard. Then Hershel's canoe is found half submerged near Joe's boat shop. Hershel has disappeared - and the police presume foul play.

A Cozy Mystery available only in Mystery 4.

5 out of 5 stars Tasty Suspense!!   February 23, 2008
I have just discovered JoAnna Carl's Chocolate Mysteries, and I love them!! Great great reads!! Very little language, plenty of suspense, and wonderful tidbits of chocolate thrown in throughout each book. Chocolate Frog Frame-Up has been my favorite so far, but I know I will love each book in the series. Enjoy!!

5 out of 5 stars much better read than the last title   August 15, 2007
This title is third in the Chocoholic Mysteries series, and a great addition to the series. The author's description of a frog-like character was interesting. I read this book in one sitting and was happy to find that the fourth title in the series was available.

I will continue with this series in spite of the heroine's annoying habit of substituting words with other words when she is nervous.

1 out of 5 stars I wanted to like this book   July 28, 2007
Ever since reading the Diane Mott Davidson books I've been looking for more books that combine a love of food with good mystery reading. I was very disappointed with this one -- poorly written and clunky characters. I've tried several other authors of culinary mysteries and will have to keep trying...

4 out of 5 stars good beach reading   July 12, 2007
this is in a series of several by nom de plum joanna carl - very fun and you can read in a day at the beach or pool this summer -

4 out of 5 stars Is love in the cards?   November 26, 2005
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

Every time Lee and Joe make plans for a romantic night or something special to do, it seems someone is out to get them, after the town annoyance is found murdered. Is someone framing Joe for the murder?

Someone sure has it out for him. It was comical to read and I loved the parts about chocolate. Made me crave it!

This is a cozy mystery to read and you will enjoy it!
