It has been at least 8 years since I read this book, but the powerful use of words by mr hardwick had such a hold on me that I have never been able to forget it. I read on average, a book a day, so I vowed to remeber the title so that i would be able to find another book by him. I am glad to see he has now got 2 more. This book takes on the street/drug life in a way that I have never seen before. His characters are well fleshed out and he created them so well you feel you are in there with them, understanding why they act they way they do, rooting for them even as you despise their actions. Way to go Mr Harwick, way to go!
Everything you need for a great read! February 4, 2006 Successful Novel = power + drugs + corruption + politics + killers + an interesting investigator. And on top of all of that this novel is a quick and easy read.
Very good book October 19, 2004 This was the best book I've read in a long time. I went out before I finished this book and bought "Color of Justice". I hope that one is as good as "Cold Medina".
Interesting Thriller February 13, 2004 This book was interesting and riveting. The setting was plausible and the characterization was well-done. Gary Hardwick's thriller is a success.
