| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description An honest and informative text on sex discrimination and the law, THE LAW OF SEX DISCRIMINATION approaches the idea of using law to combat sex discrimination from a variety of contexts; for example, as an occasion for ideological disputes, as a reflection of contemporary policy debates over the future direction of society, or as part of the historical development (and response to) feminism. Appendices that deal with the court system, a brief discussion of how to outline cases, and a glossary of legal and technical terms are included.

very good primary source material July 5, 2007 Although this book is admittedly not the most accessible one in it's class, it is one of the most useful if you have the time and desire to delve into the issues of sex and the law in depth. The book is comprised almost entirely of court decisions, and as such is an invaluable compendium of source material. If you're looking for a brief overview look elsewhere, but if you want a roundup of relevant court decisions this is an excellent reference.

An above average text book which did more than serve its purpose. It also provided a good reference for a research paper and talked in detail about a number of legal cases.
