1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money   December 31, 2007

This book was full of typo's and serious errors. There were many questions in the book that had the wrong answer. The content was not applicable to the GACE test. I took the test and passed but it wasn't because of this book I can assure you of that. Please don't waste your money on this book, purchase a textbook on Special Education instead. Good luck.

2 out of 5 stars Not Good!!!   November 26, 2007

I completely agree with the other reviews! I studied this book and made all kinds of note cards from the vocab words listed in the book and took the pre-test and post-test and the actual test was nothing like it! I focused on key ideas that the book highlighted that were not on the test at all! I also noticed a TON of grammatical errors...at least 1 every other page! I did pass the tests but I don't think the book had much to do with it! I will say that I was able to elaborate a little more on the essay questions from the vocab that I learned but I don't think that's worth the cost of the book! I don't know if just studying the questions on the GACE website would have helped me either though...there has to be something else! At least I hope there is...I have to take the GACE Pedagogy test next and I don't want to have to buy this brand of prep. material!

1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!   October 26, 2007

Do NOT waste your money on this sad excuse for a study guide! The book is filled with typos, misspelled words, and grammatical errors! I really don't think the person who wrote this even knows what they are talking about. It was organized terribly, and a lot of the content was repeated several times. It seemed like someone just sat down, pulled an all-nighter, crapped out this book, and somehow got it published. You would fair much better just studying textbooks in the subject areas!!!!

This book was not helpful for the test. The questions on the test were nothing like the ones in the book. Plus the book does not allow practice for the essays on the test- in which there are 4 of. You are better off studying the free online tests provided by the web site when you sign up for the test. I did pass the test, but it was not due to what I learned from studying the book.
