5 out of 5 stars Knitting Around   July 1, 2008
This woman is the Einstein of knitting. I had knitted for years when I found her work. I can't tell you how much she improved my knitting and made life easier for me. Buy anything you can buy by her if you're even a half serious knitter. Unfortunately she has passed away so we no longer have her with us.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!!!!!!   June 24, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Be the Boss!   June 13, 2008
Anyone who knits timidly NEEDS to read this book! EZ writes in a very relaxed and informal style. Once you get done reading the book you feel like you could knit just about anything, with or without a pattern--and you probably could! This book teaches people how to turn ideas into sweaters using "recipes" rather than "patterns." You know when you wear one of these sweaters to the next knitting convention that you won't end up being someone else's twin, because she tells you how to put your own personality into the sweater.

5 out of 5 stars A great EZ starter   February 18, 2008

This is a wonderful book! EZ writes as if you are sitting with her in her living room -- she is delightful to read, as well as brilliant. This is a great first EZ book -- not only does it have a nice variety of patterns, but it also has "Digressions", in which she talks about her life and family. What a treat for any knitter! I highly recommend this book.

The comments that have already been written pretty much say it all. She was a fabulous knitter, teacher and knew how to think "out of the box" and this is what she taught her students both in this book and the others that she wrote during her lifetime.

I recommend this book highly for both beginning knitters and for those more advanced. There is always something for everyone in her books.
