Product Description

American history made personal!

Tested by five wars, a Scots-Irish family help bring forth a new nation while pursing liberty, opportunity and happiness. This is a story of adventure, danger, passion and endurance set in the context of some of the most momentous times in American history. Persons and events, formerly just names and places, take on personality and realism.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great read!   June 9, 2008
What a wonderful story of a family's triumphs and tribulations through the generations. Tied into historical events, this novel is a great read. I could not put it down. Gayleen Ienatsch

5 out of 5 stars Great Reading   May 18, 2008
I really liked this book! Tracing a family tree can be very tedious work. Turning basic facts into interesting stories is something to be admired. I think everyone would enjoy this story, whether or not they are a McQuaid.
