Forget what you know about book writing, publishing and promoting; the model just changed-- for the better! Now you may print shorter runs at prices that make sense, publish your "books" in other (electronic) ways, sell them automatically and promote them for practically nothing. You will discover how to wring maximum value out of your work. This is an exciting time to be a writer. To be successful, a book needs writing, design, production and promotion. I organized and automated some of these functions years ago. The last elements just recently fell into place to establish the New Book Model. You will love it! There is not enough room in one manual to include everything that you should know about writing nonfiction. Consequently, Para Publishing has prepared many supplemental reports (called documents, special reports or instant reports) that are referenced in relevant places throughout this book. You may not want or need these supplements right now, but when you do, you can find them on our Web site (by typing in the document number in the search box) or by contacting us by email, telephone or fax. I am also including numerous Web site addresses for more information. If you are reading the downloadable or CD editions of this book, you may click on the URLs and go directly to the sites. My system works. In the back of The Self-Publishing Manual , I ask readers to send me their books once they publish. I receive 15 to 20 books each week. Thank you for investing your time and money to allow me to share this new book-writing concept with you. I will make sure your time and money are well invested. - Dan Poynter

4 out of 5 stars GREAT and to the point. Publish it your self and profit!!   June 22, 2008
This is a good book, and a short version of the THE SELF PUBLISHING MANUAL by the same author; both books are good, however I enjoyed best THE SELF P.M. which I will rate it 5 starts. Enjoy!!

5 out of 5 stars A better book model   February 8, 2008
Dan Poynter presents a new model of book writing that makes it simple for authos to organize various sections of their book. Portions of the book, such as the introduction, preface, notes about the author and reference sections are outlined in easy format for authors. This organization allows the author to focus his attention on the heart of the story line or theme. This is a great model that is easily followed. I am going to use it for my current and future manuscripts.

I ordered this book when I was working on my own book. I found it to be a good reference book and provided a lot of useful information! I often referred back to the book! Now, I have my own successful Non-fiction book!!!

5 out of 5 stars Fully Explains The Process   January 19, 2008
This is a book full of useful information from someone who knows the subject. I had the opportunity to attend a seminar where Dan Poynter spoke on writing nonfiction. It is great to have this book to bring back everything from the presentation. If you want to write nonfiction, this book will guide you though the process. If you already write nonfiction, this book will make you much more efficient. Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Opened it up for me!   December 13, 2007
This Dan Poynter book opened it up for me and my writing! He helps writers realize they are 'building a book', not just writing a book. I have made much progress on my three books after reading this instructional winner!
