REFERENCE STANDARD May 11, 2008 the standard reference for medical school requirements. a must for all applicants, although using a library reference copy might suffice for many applicants.
MSAR Review April 21, 2008 Very helpful! Has all the requirements for Med Schools and stats of the incoming class
A special tool... April 18, 2008 This is just the exact book one would need that would like to get into medical school and has no idea where to start. An A++ in my book!
a vehicle for neuroticism April 3, 2008 This book's blessing and curse is all the numbers it contains. Average gpas, mcat scores, interview and acceptances given, etc. are easy to get caught up in (they aren't as important as you think), but it gave me information on a few schools that i didn't know about at first, one of which gave me an acceptance. The cost of applying to medical school is so exorbitant anyway, you may as well spend the money on one of these books, and MSAR is the one my pre-health admissions committee recommended: it's the gold standard.
5 stars because, well, it helped get me into medical school. Good luck...
Glad I bought it March 4, 2008 I think this book is a must have if you are applying to medical school. It will give you a good idea about the GPA and MCAT expectations of the schools you are interested in, and required course work. It also tells you how many in-state/out-of-state applicants are accepted amongst other things. At my school you can check it out but I am glad I bought it so I can mark it up and continuously refer back to it. If you want to buy it do it from Amazon cuz you can get free shipping!
