Product Description "Karl Keating is simply one of the best Catholic apologists alive. He writes in the tradition of, and as a worthy successor to, Fred Sheed and Archbishop Fulton Sheen. He is thoroughly orthodox, reasonable, clear, and interesting"....Ralph McInermy.

You can profit spiritually from this book August 15, 2008 This is an outstanding short book. Mr. Keating masterfully answers 52 tough questions and misconceptions about the Catholic Faith. The author is an authority in the growing field of Catholic Apologetics; his style is fluid and he feels comfortable with any and all questions. You will certainly enjoy this book.
For Catholics and non Catholics July 5, 2008 Even those who know their faith well often are ambushed by attacks on the Church. This book assists in responding to such attacks with clarity and simplicity. It would be a great guide for those outside the Church who would like to know more about our belief systems.
Very Basic Introduction to RCC Beliefs. April 5, 2008 Exellent resource for the untechnical study group or for someone brand new to Roman Catholicism. If you are looking for a deeper work on the theological foundations of Roman Catholicism you can do no better than the Official Catechism of the Church (2nd edition) or even from a shorter standpoint, Kevin Johnson's "Why do Catholic's do that"?

I found this book to be very good. 52 (arbitrary number, but a good start!) points of belief which answer questions often raised in the believer. I detected no doctrinal errors. (Although I am strictly an amateur--I am no Church authority, I freely admit!)
This is an excellent resource for those with questions about the Faith, especially those who have to answer questions from family/friends/coworkers, etc.
It includes Bible references on many points, and also references Magisterial documents and explains some of their salient points.
This is also an excellent resource for those outside the Faith who want to know what Catholics believe and why. It's like apologists say, "it doesn't bother me if you disagree with what I believe--PLEASE, just disagree with what I ACTUALLY believe and not what you may mistakenly THINK I believe!"
A helpful guide for those in your care February 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book a few times in the past - for myself, and to give away - as it is a good source for quick and useful information. I like how it is simple, broad and approachable, yet authoritative and clear. It's just the type of work that is perfect for new Catholics or young teens proceeding through Confirmation. True, it's no 800 page tome with every dogma, doctrine and precept in it, but it's very good at what it does - clears up misconceptions & explains what Catholics really believe. I highly recommend this simple but useful book!
