Product Description
Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World. In Secret Vampire, Poppy thought the summer would last forever. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now Poppy's only hope for survival is James, her friend and secret love. A vampire in the Night World, James can make Poppy immortal. But first they both must risk everything to go against the laws of Night World. Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend. Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush. It's a battle between black magic and white magic in Spellbinder.

Vampire Series September 7, 2008 Night World No. 1: Secret Vampire; Daughters of Darkness; Spellbinder (Night World) Delivery was excellent for an APO delivery. Book is in outstanding shape, will have no problems ever with this purchase agent.
Wow, the wait is almost over August 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I also have been waiting years for this series to be re-released again.
Daughters of Darkness is the best of the three, but you must read Secret Vampire first. The books are not going from the same character and their progression, they are EACH A SEPARATE BOOK ON THEIR OWN. The books are of a secret society of vampires, shapeshifters (including werewolves), and witches and the forbidden romances between them and humans. The books are short, but well-written and touching. Buy them you won't be disappointed.
This series is my all time favorite. L.J. Smith is my favorite author (even though I am now in my mid-twenties...yes I am ancient). I started with The Vampire Diaries when I was in Junior High. I would recommend reading L.J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle, (but the best is the Night World Series). I would skip "Dark Angel" of the series for Nightworld. The main character is a drip. Thank you for coming out with this again. I don't think the publishers realize how many fans there really are. Thank you Twilight Tales for giving me some hope
Good short stories August 31, 2008 I thought the Night World, Volume 1 contained three great short stories. Each story was unique in and different. Unfortunately, the didn't satisfy my need for a full story. I'm hoping in the coming volumes I will get to see the characters from the first stories interact with each other.
I do like the idea of the Night World folks exsisting in our world, but following their own laws.
I also think this is a good story to read if you are a fan of the twilight series or vampire/werewolf/hags/magic genre.
Sooo glad these were republished! August 22, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've been waiting for years for these books to be republished! I've always enjoyed L.J. Smith's books and am so glad to see them back on the shelves. A favorite of mine that always gets me to smile is "Daughters of Darkness"; though I hate how some of them are left with a bit of a cliff hanger. They are fun books to read when you have the time. For those of you who enjoy romance with a little bit of horror... well here you go. The Night World series is fun to get lost in.
I'm also glad to see that her other series are also being published again. I recommend "The Forbidden Game" and "Dark Visions" trilogies for those of you interested in reading more by this author...
Good story, Bad Cliffhangers July 30, 2008 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
The three compilations of the stories were amazing, but I didn't feel that the way she ended the stories were fit. In buying this book I felt that it was going to be a big vampire series with the same characters. I was bummed when I found out that all it did was leave you on the edge with no end in showing you what really happens. I love L.J. Smiths stories, but this book is not for those who love the trilogies or continuing stories. Personally, I am dropping this book and I will not be buying in to the others. I recommend Vampire Diaries as a wonderful alternative. Good stories, bad endings!
