Amazon.com Journey of Souls is a controversial yet inspiring investigation of the big question we all face at one point or another: "What happens after we die?" To find the answer, Newton opens cases from his private practice in which he hypnotically regressed his clients to a point between lives--after death, but before birth. Not only does Newton grapple with reincarnation, the spirit world, and the nature of the human soul, he also tackles equally sticky questions such as "Is there a Heaven and Hell?" and "What are ghosts?" Readers with a penchant for skepticism will balk at the lack of physical evidence to back up the claims in Journey of Souls, but the book remains a reassuring voice, affirming that our existence is not limited to the boundaries of our mortal flesh. --Brian Patterson

A book to remember! June 30, 2008 There is not much I can say, just read it. The book will stand for itself. If you are a religious person, in the religion type of doctrines, then you might have some problems with the book. If you search for a higher meaning and spirituality then you have to read this book.
This book can have three outcomes:
1. It can change your life. 2. It can help you advance in spiritual knowledge & awareness, supposing you already experienced point one. 3. Nothing changes, which might suggest you are in some form of religious doctrine which is against the pursuit of knowledge = stagnation.
Be open and see the deeper message inside the book.
Groundbreaking research June 26, 2008 Journey of Souls is a wonderful gift to the world, one that reminds us of Who We Really Are and what our eternal Home is really like. And the insights contained in these pages help us to see greater meaning in our lives during that brief time in which we're in body. -Robert Schwartz, author of Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?
Presenting the bigger picture! June 19, 2008 As a hypnotherapist myself, I help the people who come to me to get past current blocks they are experiencing by reaching deep into their sub/super conscious to find a greater interpretation for the life they seem to be living. Dr. Newton's work is outstanding in that he takes the opportunity of interviewing these greater interpretations through the clients he sees, and constructs a comprehensible framework for that life we experience inbetween our earthly lives, for us all to learn from. He presents clearly what happens to us after we die, how we choose and prepare for our next life on earth, and what happens to as we are born. Presented sympathetically and interestingly, this is a must read for anyone seeking a larger picture for their current circumstances!
Loved It June 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is sort of part one of 2 books. You don't have to believe everything you read for a book to offer you something of value. This book is very stimulating and can get you to think twice about many things you do in life and how you view what others do. Like what is really most important in life and in all your relationships with people. And that is the value of reading it [Not trying to prove whether it's true or not]. I'd buy it again.
Interesting May 14, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
To be honest I got about 2/3 done and put it down. The information put forth is rather interesting.
Being based on the concept of reincarnation, the problem I found is this.
How can it be that these people were born in essentially the same English environment? Sort of like the "Star Trek Syndrome" where all the aliens speak English. One would think that it very likely that a good portion of these people would be reincarnated from other nations and vastly different times...But they aren't. If they were, under hypnosis as it were...They should be able to speak fluently in their native tongue right?
I don't know all the answers and questions like the above make me scratch my head and wonder as to the validity of these claims. Maybe more explination needs to be given on this mechanic because I just don't get it. Not saying its false, just not evidence at hand to buy into it.
But as far as I got it was an entertaining read.
