Customer Reviews:
A thorough history of the downfall of religion in Europe October 1, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to disagree with the previous reviewer - this book is anything but dull. The story is full of suspense and surprises. I had no idea that the history of religion had so many ups and downs and that so many things happened for the unexpected motive. This is a book about the complexity of history, abut how history is shaped by ideas and about the law of unexpected consequences. I have learned a lot from it.
Good overview June 28, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a good overview, but is rather dull. It has the potential to be a decent referrence book.
