'Do Butterflies Bite?' is a clear and comprehensive presentation of information about every aspect of butterfly life. As a Volunteer in the Butterfly Vivarium in the American Museum of Natural History I can say that this book will be enormously helpful to me in answering visitors' questions. Readers will find a wealth of information simply stated yet in great depth and detail, accompanied by wonderful illustrations.

Biting butterflies don't exist. If they did, there would be no public butterfly exhibit in the world. After volunteering for the Butterfly Conservatory at The American Museum of Natural History, N.Y.C. for the past 9 years, I need to encourage everyone to read this book. It answers all the questions people have asked me: "How long do butterflies live?"... "What is the difference between a butterfly and a moth?"..And the grandest and most personally intriguing question of all: "How can I attract butterflies to my garden?".
I purchased 10 books, one for my collection, and the others to give as gifts to my friends who I know would cherish them for years to come.
