| Customer Reviews:
First rate material for children--and adults December 27, 2006 Holy Cow! This is first rate stuff. The pictures are excellent, as are the brief articles supplying a wealth of information about the lives and habits of eagles. The combination of H.G. Moores excellent photographs with Jan Wicker's factual content makes for the best naturalist talk imaginable. And all of it is presented in a format that is perfect for kids. I have loved this book as has my granddaughter.
Informed and informative October 7, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Collaboratively written by Jan Lee Wicker and illustrated by Steve Weaver, as well as enhanced with full-color photographs by H.G. Moore III, "Those Excellent Eagles" is a superbly presented introduction for children ages 5 to 8 on the life of eagles. Young readers will learn what this bird is called a 'Bald Eagle', what eagles eat, just how strong eagles are, how well eagles can see, how fast they can fly, and where they prefer to live. Kids chill even learn how to make an eagle and an eagle's nest they can eat! "Those Excellent Eagles" is an informed and informative, "kid friendly" addition to school and community library Pets & Wildlife collections.
