5 out of 5 stars Saved my SLEEP!!   May 6, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I am now a happy, WELL-RESTED 40 yr old due to this book (and another book: Natural Hormone Balance For Women by Dr. Uzzi Reiss)
Both of these have saved my LIFE, most importantly my SLEEP!

For the past few years (after having a 3rd child) from age 37 onward, I could no longer fall into sleep, nor get REM/Delta level, and NOTHING would work (except Ambien).

Well now since learning about natural progesterone cream and other important, necessary homones the body may need (and mine did), such as DHEA and Melatonin, I now use all three nearly every night at bedtime: one tiny dab of a natural progesterone cream, 2 sprays (equals 10 mg) of a DHEA spray called Biosom, and 1 mg or less (half the pill) of Melatonin Plus by Schiff (Found at Sam's, it also contains vitamin B6 and L-Theanine very needed additions to helping Melatonin work).

Now I sleep like a baby every night!
No more Ambien!:)

Buy this book (and the other one I mentioned).

OB/GYN's disappointed me by recommending HRT or even hysterectomy, ALL because I simply had hormone imbalance-related Insomnia and Adrenal Fatigue.

PLEASE check with your doctor/naturopath BEFORE taking any of my above products/steps that work for ME.

5 out of 5 stars Essential for every woman   April 20, 2008
This book is so informative and woman of all ages need to be educated on hormone balancing. Our hormones are connected to so many physical aspects of our lives that Dr. Lee's information is essential to living a happy, healthy, balanced life filled with quality. It is definitely informative and helps you to become aware of the fact that some of the symptoms that you have could be from a hormonal imbalance, thus balancing the hormones can bring healing. He also provides a resource section for further testing and information.

5 out of 5 stars Informative   April 9, 2008
This is a really good book. I found it to be very informative. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking info about premenopause.

5 out of 5 stars Makes SO much sense...   February 3, 2008

It is refreshing to have MD's publish a book this useful and insightful. Mainstream allopathic medicine has failed so many women in this regard in particular, to say nothing of the drug companies. Here is a gentle, common sense approach that works with the body instead of against it. As someone who's suffered for several years from adrenal fatigue (also a failure of mainstream medicine for diagnosis and treatment), to read of the connection between estrogen dominance and adrenal drain resonated immediately. There is not a thing in this book that goes against a woman's intuition about her own health; there is an instinctive wisdom that can't help but be beneficial. NOTE: Too much of anything isn't good, and the book addresses this as well. Bad side effects are not a failing of natual pregesterone creams, but "operator error." Work either with a naturopath or doctor well-informed on integrative or holistic medicine if you have any concerns.

I am about to order more copies for my female friends and family members. This information is too valuable to be missed.

2 out of 5 stars To Scientific   January 25, 2008

Although the premise is good there is way to much scientific molecule configurations to keep your attention. It would be great if it had a section 'What to ask your Dr.'
