Product Description
Science has recently begun to prove what ancient myth and religion have always espoused: There may be such a thing as a life force. In this groundbreaking classic, investigative journalist Lynne McTaggart reveals a radical new paradigmthat the human mind and body are not separate from their environment but a packet of pulsating power constantly interacting with this vast energy sea, and that consciousness may be central in shaping our world. The Field is a highly readable scientific detective story presenting a stunning picture of an interconnected universe and a new scientific theory that makes sense of supernatural phenomena. Documented by distinguished sources, The Field is a book of hope and inspiration for today's world.

interesting but not an easy read May 13, 2008 This book is full of interesting information, and cutting edge ideas based on new research into physics. However, I found it quite hard-going at times - the author's style isn't particularly readable. I often had to grit my teeth in determination just to make it to the end of a chapter - and unfortunately I gave up about two-thirds way through the book. I think this would be a great book in the hands of a more entertaining writer.
Thought provoking May 3, 2008 I found this book to be very interesting, although you have to really think about what you're reading. It's truly fascinating what's going on at the quantum level and I think McTaggart did a good job of explaining it.
A new science for XXIst century April 29, 2008 Great information for all those who want a better understanding of the merger between God and science

Quantum Physics seems to be proving that The Force in Star Wars (aka Chi, Qi, Prana, Mana etc..) may actually be real and that we are all connected to it. The Field tells the story of respected scientists all over the world who have produced extraordinary evidence to show that an energy field -The Zero Point Field - connects everything in the universe, and we ourselves are part of this vast dynamic cobweb of energy exchange.
This book shows how all things are connected in space and time. The energy emmitted from your toaster can be instantly felt on a subtle level at the far reaches of the Universe. What I really liked was hearing that scientists can now measure light photons emitted from Cells and DNA, we are actually all made of light as we've been told.

Excellent book for lay person (Non Physicist) in understanding scientific data and how it may effect us all.
