From the supplier: The medical school of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor creates the ATLAS Plus system as part of its mission to provide computer-assisted instruction to its students. ATLAS (Advanced Tools for Learning Anatomical Structure) is intended to provide medical, dental and health sciences students with an interactive multimedia learning tool. Its modular approach lets students set their own pace as they review units containing overviews, diagrams, sample exams and glossaries. The system is based on Authorware Professional, a modular application from Authorware Inc. The pilot of ATLAS Plus is being made available to some 300 medical students in a laboratory outfitted with six Apple Macintosh workstations; the completed system will be installed in a Learning Resource Lab with 22 workstations and a file server.
