Product Description Through a process of exhaustive man research he calls "keeping his eyes open," Dick Masterson has compiled a Magnum-size list of the ways men are better than women. It is an infallible compendium of man's greatness, filled with the most egregiously fallacious arguments ever put to words, but with some kind of miraculous, rock-solid man logic dripping like motor oil from every sentence. It is a manifesto more memorable than bullshit like High Fidelity or which Axe baby powder Maxim thinks you should slap on your nuts before clubbing, more chock-full of devastating man quotes than Oscar Wilde with two wangs. Most important, it is the only one of its kind. In Men Are Better Than Women, Dick Masterson dispenses logic from his man mouth into the eyes of his male readers like some kind of mighty mother man eagle with nutrient-rich word vomit. It's a book that makes you feel like driving a train into a dynamite factory and then tearing a telephone book apart with your bare hands, just because that's the way men have always done it. Masterson's chapters are simple and self-contained, demand no commitments from readers, and have an immediate payoff. Men Are Better Than Women is a dangerous work of satire -- not dangerous in a revolutionary sense, but dangerous in that it walks the razor-thin line between cruelty and absurdity. That line is called hilarious.

Makes a lot of sense. July 2, 2008 If you're a man, you'll find a lot of things in this book relate to you. It's odd to me that the side of the book is marked "humor," because the bulk of what I read was simply non-fiction. If you've ever had to deal with one of those ignorant, ditzy, can't-shut-her-mouth-for-two-minutes, attention whores (and you know you have)... you'll enjoy this book. Myths are dispelled, arguments are backed up with statistics, and the majority of Masterson's words make you sit back and say "I never thought of it that way, but he's right." It definitely reinforced a lot of suspicions I had already, in a very entertaining way. Must read for any man.
Brutally Honest... June 26, 2008 For those who can't handle some truth and humor, this book is not for you. We live in a society that's blinded by politically correct notions of men and women, when in reality men and women are different. the point of this book is to state all of the reasons why men are better than women. for all of the women and the soft-sided men out there who are offended from the book, instead of sitting and crying about it on a blog, go out and write a book about all of the reasons why women are better than men. you'll unfortunately find that it won't even come close to the number of pages of this book though...
like i said...if you can't take a joke then don't read this book.
horrendous and unfunny June 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is the author's attempt to ride the coattails of Tucker Max, the original pioneer of Boy adventure literature. Except, instead of funny anecdotes that occasionally rub people the wrong way, the entire book is offensive to such a degree that it will undoubtedly motivate women to cut men entirely out of their lives and convince them that the world would be better off without them. And just like the Marilyn Manson phenomena, next time we hear about a domestic violence report, someone is bound to point a finger at Dick Masterson. Lets hope the novelty wears off soon.
Too hateful and one point stretched over the whole book. June 13, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book after watching a clip of Dick Masterson on the Dr. Phil show. I was and still am impressed by his quick wit and logical opinions. He has nerves of steal and thats why he has got my respect. The problem is that the author didnt realise that there are two kinds of men. One who will realise that he is right and the others who will not even fail to see his point but will also be angry with him. Clearly, the first type of men dont even need to read this book they already get it that men are better than women. I like the wit and arguments expressed in this book but at the same time I felt that its just too hateful. Moreover there is nothing manly about throwing a sandwich on the street as the author so proudly recommends. Men are about putting things to good use not wasting them. Especially not food. I will keep this book but sadly wont finish reading it. The men who really need to read this book will be offended by it.
Refreshing mantertainment June 12, 2008 In a time where the media consistently caters to women, this book's direct and humorous satire is a satisfying deviation. Masterson pulls no punches in this comedic critique of the post modern woman, all the while feeding the misunderstood male ego. Certainly worthwhile, but not for the sensitive reader.
