 A close shave October 6, 2008
Very good from the first shave, a bit better than my old Braun but much cheaper and better battery.
An aggressive beast that needs frequent cleaning October 6, 2008
I recently shifted from 20 years of using norelco rotary razors to this foil shaver. It gives a much closer shave...so close that I've gotten a few nicks from it. However, it's not fast. Since it seems to work much like a conventional razor, you do have to draw it slowly accross your skin. It does take fewer passes than my old norelco, but overall it seems like a slower but closer shave. It cleans-up easily, but you have to empty the cuttings and clean the head every other or every third day. A bit more involved to get really clean but so far I like it.

I have owned Braun and Remington shavers, as well as other Panasonics. This is the best one so far. Lightweight, easy to use, and does a great job.
 Battery Life is Too Short!!! October 1, 2008
I hope people are smart enough to read the bad reviews more than the good ones. I like how quiet this shaver is, and it does shave as close as an electric can, BUT!... you can't take just the shaver on even a short three day trip without it running out of battery power. The charger is HUGE so it's a real pain to bring it along. So as much as I like the shaver I am sending it back and keeping my ugly and noisier old Braun that can keep going for over a week on one charge.

I've used Panasonic shavers for years. This new one is not as good as my old one but better than the alternative brands like Braun and Norelco. It is cheaper in construction and poorer in design than my previous Panasonic. I'm disappointed that Panasonic cuts corners to save pennies.
