Product Description
Life is reasonably rosy for plus-size ex-pop star turned Assistant Dormitory Director and sometime sleuth Heather Wells. Her freeloading ex-con dad is finally moving out. She still yearns for her hot landlord, Cooper Cartwright, but her relationship with "rebound beau," vigorous vegan math professor Tad Tocco, is more than satisfactory. Best of all, nobody has died lately in "Death Dorm," the aptly nicknamed student residence that Heather assistant-directs. Of course every silver lining ultimately has some black cloud attached. And when the latest murdered corpse to clutter up her jurisdiction turns out to be her exceedingly unlovable boss, Heather finds herself on the shortlist of prime suspects—along with the rabble-rousing boyfriend of her high-strung student assistant and an indecently handsome young campus minister who's been accused of taking liberties with certain girls' choir members. With fame beckoning her back into show business (as the star of a new kids' show!) it's a really bad time to get wrapped up in another homicide. Plus Tad's been working himself up to ask her a Big Question, which Heather's not sure she has an answer for . . .

ugh horrible July 13, 2008 meg cabot is an amazing author, but this book was so bad i could not even finish it. it is boring, and stupid.
Another entertaining Wells novel! July 3, 2008 I very much enjoyed the third Heather Wells novel. While I agree with other readers that the mysterious plot might not have been quite as breathtakingly page turning as in the other two novels, it was still a great read. And, unlike, other readers... I loved the ending! Buy the books. Read them. In my humble opinion, they are very much worth it.
Meg Cabot's WOnderful End To A Great Series July 1, 2008 This is a great ending to the Heather Wells series. I have been a fan of the series forever and was hooked on the books when I read the first chapter of the first book. Some people may say that Meg Cabot is the typical chick-lit writer and she is, but in a good way. Chick-lit isnt a bad thing, not at all. And even though the mystery is not that complicated, I for one am ALWAYS astounded at how the whole thing turns out every time. But that's more of my own ditziness than any extraordinarily great mystery writing.
Another Great Heather Wells Book! June 19, 2008 Big Boned is the third book in Meg Cabot's mystery series. I read the first two books right after they were released, so I was excited to read this third book. The series is about Heather Wells, a former pop singer, and her life as an assistant dorm director at New York College. She loves her job except for the part where people keep dying in the dorm. In Big Boned, Heather's new boss is killed, and Heather, as usual, investigates the murder herself while trying to get the attention of her landlord, Cooper.
Meg Cabot definitely delivers with this book. It's funny and suspenseful and just a fun, easy read. It's easy to relate to Heather, with her body image issues (hence the title of the book) and her boyfriend troubles. She reminds me of Stephanie from Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. It's obviously unrealistic for so many murders to take place in the same building within one year, but it's what makes the books entertaining. I can't wait for the next book to be released!
Fantastic summer reading June 18, 2008 This was my first Meg Cabot book but will not be my last. The characters were interesting and I laughed all the way through the book. I love her descriptions of people.
