Product Description
Aslan is on the move! Internationally acclaimed artist Robert Cording has created a series of full?color paintings that celebrate C.S. Lewis?s fantasy world and the great lion who rules over it. Readers explore the Land of Narnia with Cording and a gathering of well?known writers, Lewis experts, children, and others whose lives have been touched by these magnificent stories. This ideal gift for new and longtime fans of Narnia also includes: - letters from Lewis to readers that provide insight into the author?s message
- an engaging perspective from Douglas Gresham, C.S. Lewis?s stepson
- original writings on ?what Narnia means to me?
It makes me, I think, more humble than proud to know that Aslan has allowed me to be the means of making Him more real to you.?C.S. Lewis in a letter to a reader.

Great gift idea... May 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com, 5/08 C. S. Lewis's world of Narnia will long live in my heart. His portrait of Aslan (JesusChrist) is stunning and heart rendering. The Lion and The Land of Narnia is a tribute to beautiful story. Robert Cording's paintings are magnificent. He captures the true essence Narnia, especially of Aslan. Accompanying the art work are letters and essays about the original story. My favorite parts were the letters from children to C. S. Lewis and his answers, he seemed to enjoy their letters. When I first picked up this book, I expected a children's story. This is not necessarily a children's book. While they would enjoy the pictures, this book is for fans of C.S. Lewis and his works. The Lion and The Land of Narnia will make a great addition to your home library or as a gift.
