2 out of 5 stars A fun, easy read. Good for summer relaxing!!   October 9, 1998

The book is about a retired director of special education for the state of Michigan. He now investigates murders, especially educational murders (okay, pretty far-fetched!) He and his not very well developed as a character side kick (who is disabled) find out the true murderer after a string of homicides follow a laid off special ed teacher. The characters need further development, especially the woman sidekick. If you're in special education as a profession, it's fun to read about some things that happen at the administrative level. I liked the book a lot better after meeting the author and hearing his process for writing. He's humble and sincere and is currently revising some of his other drafts. I look forward to reading other books by Rich.
