Have you ever had a crush on someone? Does he know that you like him? Or, are you just too shy to talk to him and let him now how you feel?
Alma doesn't know how to approach the boy. So she asks her best friends at Horseland to help her. They come up with an idea to make her more noticeable. Her friends want to give her a makeover. Will it do the trick? Sometimes a friend's help doesn't end up being help at all. Could changing her tomboy image appeal to him or chase him away?
Being a tomboy myself, I found this book to be very funny. You can't really change the inside of a person just by changing the outward appearance. Being a young girl who is just starting to notice the boys being cute, I could relate with the experiences that Alma was experiencing. "If the Horseshoe Fits" by Annie Auerbach is the 6th book in this wonderful series. After just reading one of these books, you will want to have your lucky horseshoe with you when you go to the bookstore or library in hopes that these books will still be in stock!
