Product Description
The Michigan Manual of Plastic Surgery is the first and only pocket-sized, practical manual on plastic surgery. It is written by residents in the University of Michigan's world-renowned plastic surgery training program, with contributions from senior residents in related fields including general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and urology. In an easy-to-follow outline format, the book covers the full range of clinical problems a plastic surgeon encounters. Sections cover fundamental principles and techniques, skin and soft tissue lesions, head and neck, facial reconstruction, craniofacial, aesthetic surgery, breast, hand and upper extremity, trunk, lower extremity, genitalia, and burns.

Essential manuel for Plastic surgery residents/rotation May 21, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
BRILLIANT book! No useless information, perfectly organised, fits in the pocket. Also very useful for general/maxillofacial/ENT/orthopedic surgery and dermatology rotations.
Michigan Manual of Plastic Surgery -Review March 21, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Although one can tell that a lot of time and energy was used to write this book, there is little value to this book for the practicing physician.
Excellent Review Book for Medical Students February 23, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Michigan Manual is comprehensive in its scope of plastic surgery topics and should serve as an excellent reference for medical students. I am a fourth year student and found this text invaluable. It is written in outline form and serves as a quick review. It is a great primer for cases, and can be carried around in your coat pocket. Diagrams/photographs of relevant anatomy are sometimes lacking and this text must be supplemented with a heftier reference book for a more complete understanding of certain topics, but this is still the first reference I go to.
