Product Description After losing one of its own, Lindsay Boxer and the Womens Murder Club make a courageous return for their fourth and most chilling case ever--one that could easily be their last. A young girl is killed in crossfire after a routine arrest goes terribly wrong, and Lt. Lindsay Boxer has to defend herself against a charge of police brutality. In a landmark trial that transfixes the nation, Lindsay fights to save her career and her sanity. While awaiting trial, Lindsay escapes to the beautiful town of Half Moon Bay, but the peaceful community there is reeling from a string of unspeakable murders. Working with her friends in the Womens Murder Club, Lindsay finds a link between these killings and a case she worked on years beforean unsolved murder that has haunted her ever since. As summer comes into full swing, Lindsay battles for her life on two fronts: before a judge and jury as her trial comes to a climax, and facing unknown adversaries who will do anything to keep her from the truth about the killings--including killing again. It all comes to a head before the big annual 4th of July celebration on the waterfront at Half Moon Bay. Patterson fine-tunes the tension like never before in this heart-racing new novel in the bestselling detective series to debut in years.

Satisfied September 23, 2008 The book came in excellent condition and was the same as it would have been new from Borders or Barnes and Nobles.
Excellent condition and service July 9, 2008 I was very pleased when I received my audio book. Not only was it in excellent condition, I received it promply.
Coming Back for More! April 12, 2008 This series just keeps getting better and better. After just the first paragraph I couldn't put the book down. Not often do I find a book that holds my interest so intensely. With such great interaction between writer and reader the only way to get more is to read two at the same time while waiting for the next one to come "hot" off the presses. Please keep them coming. Very enjoyable fast read. April 11, 2008 I really enjoy these books & try not too take them to seriously. I like to be entertained when I read fiction and to be taken away into a fantasy world. I read a lot of non-fiction, so this type of book is an escape for me. My only negative thing is that they are not developing the character that replaced Jill very well, we don't know that much about her & her interactions with the other club members seems to be limited. I really wish they would not have killed Jill.
fab 4th of july April 6, 2008 a slower read than other patterson books. I liked it the least in the series.
