Good inspirational read.... July 12, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Tess Graver returned home hoping for some peace and relaxation. Her uncle's injury gave her the perfect excuse to leave a job that had turned to sheer misery after she was suspected of theft. Now, a dead body has turned up and Tess is the one to find her. Unfortunately, it also appears Tess is being stalked. Can former DEA agent, Ethan Rogers, overcome his past memories to help Tess stay safe?
Ginny Aiken touches on some very dark issues in DANGER IN A SMALL TOWN. Drugs, particularly meth, are a dangerous and harsh reality. Even small towns are now threatened by the meth industry. Tess and Ethan will see the dark underbelly of this otherwise quiet and peaceful, even quite ordinary, little town. Ginny Aiken is to be commended for addressing such a horrific industry in an inspirational book.
DANGER IN A SMALL TOWN shows a woman who relies on her faith through both good and bad times. Ginny Aiken isn't overpowering with the issues of faith but rather inserts them in a manner befitting both Tess and Ethan's characters. One moment in particular stands out as the issue of not wallowing in the past is addressed. Trust is also a central theme as DANGER IN A SMALL TOWN is deeply thought provoking. Great read!
