Good Inspirational Romance August 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Grady Reynolds is the last person Maria thought she'd meet in her new town. After his wife died, he made it clear he blamed Maria and didn't want to see her again. Now they don't have a choice. Not only do they work together, but they're renting in the same building until they find permanent homes.
Grady has enough trouble dealing with his two daughters, and now he must tolerate Maria Sanchez's renewed presence in his life. He finds her commitment to the local church annoying, especially when his daughters show interest in the youth programs. Why put your faith in a God that lets horrible things happen? He's afraid that the girls will be hurt when they're let down. Just like him.
Layers of hurt and distrust pad the distance between Maria and Grady. How is love possible when they have so little in common?
Known for her compelling story weaving, Merrillee Whren has blended another sweet romance with the importance of faith to bring a sprig of hope to readers. Hope in faith and love are especially crucial in uncertain times. This is why the small town and rural setting, hometown atmosphere, and her comfortable writing style makes THE HEART'S FORGIVENESS a good choice for fans of Inspirational Romance.
