Product Description
In the year 2012 a series of terrorist attacks struck at America's heartland, targeting schools, malls and churches. California rioted, Texas burned, and Michigan seceded. Caught in the middle is a man bearing no name who is forced to travel on foot through the changing state. His journey is a desperate attempt to make his way from the Upper Peninsula to his family in Grand Rapids. He encounters friendship and death, war and brotherhood as he journeys on foot through the wilds of the new territory, but will love and a desperate need for redemption be enough to see him home?

4 out of 5 stars Another Recomendation Appreciated   March 27, 2008

I read this book based on a recomendation from a girl at work and I am very pleased. This book is so well written from the first person perspective and honestly sends chills down my spine from how it could possibly be an accurate portrayal of America's future. For Michigan natives it is even better because all accounts of places visited and sights seen are completely accurate. I would and have recomended this book to all of my bookworm friends.
