Product Description Hugely popular on its first release, and now thoroughly revised and updated, the new edition of this pocket reference guide provides a rapid and thorough practical review and reference for otolaryngology clinicians and residents, as well as other medical students. Designed in an expanded outline format, the book is a guide to the entire medical course: from work-up, differential diagnosis and symptomatology to pathophysiology, complications, and current standard of care treatment plans. New content and illustrations appear throughout the text, and an additional chapter on Allergy and Immunology is included. Still in a convenient pocket-sized guide, this book remains an essential reference.

Concise, quick review February 10, 2008 I use this book just prior to conference or the OR as a quick refresher for cases when I was a junior resident and also as a companion when studying for the yearly inservice. It is generally quick/concise text.
I gave it 3 stars because the index is poorly organized. Unless you know the chapter where the information is located, you can be assured that you will not be able to find in a timely manner.
Factually dense February 8, 2008 An impressive quantity of information presented in a small easy to carry around book. Good lay out makes easy reading. Index is rubbish but I am sure this is to keep the size of the book to a minimum.
Medical Student Review August 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is indeed used by many of the ENT residents. I didn't find it as useful on my externships and ENT rotations as other resources. The index is very skeletal and information is sometimes difficult to find. It is more useful for the resident trying to memorize lists of topic associations for their board exams, than it is for medical students who are concerned with the fundamentals and with correctly answering pimping questions. Furthermore, it is very expensive and used copies are difficult to find. Personally, I found using ENT secrets in conjunction with Lange's book more effective.
good book January 6, 2007 Excellent ENT review for residents. Concise and easy to carry therefore easy to study any time you have a spare moment.
Great overall coverage August 1, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very pleased with this book, and it is so compact! I did use it for preparation for boards, but it has a major weakness in plastics. There were some glaring gaps in that section as well as some incorrect information. I used Papel's book for plastics and this one for everything else and did great. A must have.
