Amazon.com Review With its lovely, humorous illustrations and wonderful narrative about a hungry caterpillar growing up to be a beautiful butterfly, Eric Carle's story touches anyone who still has some growing to do. Along with reassuring repetition--"He was still hungry ..."--the book includes some wonderful interactive moments: what youngster can resist sticking a finger through that hole in the page as his ravenous friend makes his way through various delicacies?
Product Description "This very hungry caterpillar literally eats his way through the pages of the book--and right into your child's heart" (Mother's Manual). "Gorgeously illustrated, brilliantly innovative."--The New York Times Book Review. Full color.

Charming Classic October 9, 2008 The classic story about the little catepillar who starts at the beginning of the week as an egg, becames a very hungry catepiller and winds up as a butterfly.

As good as they get for little ones September 10, 2008 Hungry caterpillar is great for 3-5 yr olds. Youngest to Older: Goodnight Moon, then Guess How Much I Love You, then Very Hungry Caterpillar. They are then ready for Suess.
Just plainly classic, a thing what kids love to see September 9, 2008 Nothing to say new or much about this classic book. Even the youngest child can be attracted to this book. Our very very young son giggles when we reach the colorful Monday to Saturday pages. All the different colors stand out, and the story brings back memories. It is something that every home should have. After two kids and reading it countless times, it is still fun to read it, and thus you won't get tired of reading it for your kids.
