Product Description

Tyrone rules the school!

He's king of the monkey bars, a math machine, and a science whiz.

The only thing he doesn't like about school is reading. Books are so boring! But when strange visitors start dropping by the classroom for story hour, Tyrone discovers there's more to books than just words on pages.

Tyrone and his friends are swept up in a mysterious adventure that lands them in a most unexpected place. Mrs. Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna create a classroom adventure that will leave readers racing to the shelves!

A portion of proceeds to benefit Teach for America and The New Teacher Project.

Purchased this book for my grandson who doesn't like to read. He is almost 8 and was not understanding that books can open up all kinds of worlds for him. He got it with help from Laura and Jenna Bush. I highly recommend this book.

A great gift for a teacher at the start of the new year. A wonderful way to encourage children to read, especially if you or your school is having a contest to read a certain number of books.

This is a great book to read to students who are beginning to choose their own books to read.

The children in my class really enjoyed this book. They loved the illustrations, especially since they are avid Junie B. Jones fans! There's much more to the story if you take the time to view the illustrations. I think that Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna did a wonderful job.

First, let me share with you that I am one "skeptical" person when it comes to "famous" people writing children's books.

I was looking over the book when my 11 yo ask me to read it to her.
So, I began reading it. Then, my 8yo joined us. It is a pretty good book....(Take into account that my kids least favorite thing to do is read/hear books). They giggle and hung to every word. My thought is ... if my 11yo and an 8yo can sit through this book many more will.
So check it out... It is a pretty neat book...
