A tremendous book February 28, 2004 This was a very interesting book. I think a lot of people should read it. The book is called Poltergeist of Petoskey. That book was one of the greatest book I have ever read. The part that I liked the most was when the people found out the ghost was nice. The ghost didn't want to cause any trouble. When the people found out he was nice they weren't scared of the basement anymore. Also another favorite part of the book was when they went to the trailor and found the guy there and they scared him. That's what I read about in the Poltergeist of Petoskey.
Mayhem On Mackinac Island January 24, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The story is about a girl named Sandy and her brother,Tim. Sandy is 12 and Tim is 11 years old. They go to Makinac Iland for summer vacation and find themselves in a world of magic and scary creatures. Sandy & Tim's goal is to find a magic key which will return home. This sounds simple enough but in a world filled with many unknowns, will they ever see their family again?
Story Falls Apart Within the First 100 Pages December 15, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
12-year-old twins Adrian and Alexis helped their parents restore their 1897 farmhouse in Petoskey, MI. The house is structurally beautiful; but darkness resides within. They meet Catherine and Caleb a ghostly brother and sister who used to haunt the house until they were forced out by a poltergeist. After Alexis sees him, she faces becoming a ghost herself unless they can remove him from the house by midnight. The beginning of this novel was as creepy as an adult novel; but after the children meet the ghosts and subsequently the poltergeist the story falls apart. It goes from bone-chilling excitement to dead boring. The author really needs to do some serious research. A poltergeist and a ghost are not the same thing. A poltergeist is an energy force that comes from a human not a disembodied spirit with a personality. While fiction authors are free to set up the rules of their worlds, the best fiction is reality based. Give this one a miss!
