5 out of 5 stars A must read book for all   January 21, 2000

Hospice, A Labor of Love, is a must read book. This is a fast and thought provoking read. I found myself thinking about past relations and current relations. Whether or not you have been touched by death this book will benefit all who choose to read it. It will make you realize that you need to stop and take in your surroundings in this fast paced world that we live. It reminds you that today could be your last or your loved ones last and that you need to live each day like it is your last. For those who are currently suffering a terminal illness or have a loved one in this situation it gives you a greater understanding of your options and some of the emotions that you will go through during this process. The book is easy to read and understand unlike some of the other books on Death Studies. Professionals who work in the field on a daily basis wrote this book and they bring with them the understanding of their work. Also included are several appendixes that have very useful information that all can use in allowing their wishes to be carried out in the case of a terminal illness or your incapacitation. I hope all that read this book find it as helpful and useful as I did. This book will remain in my library for reference and as a reminder of those that I have lost and will loose.
