Product Description
In this hilarious collection of poems, comedian Jeff Foxworthy creates a neighborhood filled with fun, family, friends, and more. Here you'll meet Cousin Lizzy, Uncle Ed and Aunt Foo Foo, cows with horns that don't go beep, dads in sweaters, also sheep. From the thrill of flying to the imaginary planet Woosocket to bonding with a friend over a shared hatred of spinach, these poems capture the very essence of being a kid. Filled with sly humor and always affectionate, Dirt on My Shirt is sure to delight kids, big and little, everywhere.

perfect for my son October 7, 2008 Picked up this book while looking for things to get my son interested in reading. LOVE IT! He giggled and chuckled all the way through, while I had him break down the poems to make sure he was comprehending them. I am buying this book and Julianne Moore's Freckleface Strawberry for the teacher to have in her classroom. This book is great for all the little boys (or girls) in your life. The writing may not be Pulitzer, it totally gets them into reading for enjoyment (and is not bad to have to listen to!).
Not typical 'Foxworthy' but still creative genius! August 27, 2008 If you're expecting to read the "typical" Foxworthy book you're going to be disappointed with "Dirt on my Shirt." Instead, you'll discover that his genius is considerably greater and more extensive than you might have thought, based solely upon his "Redneck" books. I recently bought this book for my four-year-old granddaughter and it quickly has become one of her favorites! Buy this book for your children or grandchildren--you won't be disappointed! I heartily recommend it! Michael Garee

I am a children's book enthusiast. My 3 year old son has hundreds of books on his shelf mostly bought here on Amazon (great prices AND great service). My husband, son and I love this book. It is just so clever and a really fun bedtime read!
Jeff Foxworthy is number 1 for kids and poems! July 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A Unique Bunny
Dirt On My Shirt was just adored by my friends daughter. I bought it to her along with A Unique Bunny. My girlfriends daughter is home schooled and is 8 years old and loved both of these books.
