Kids Review July 18, 2008 When I bought this book, I didn't know if I would like it. It was a great book. Just when you think you know what is going to happen in the story, the whole thing changes. It is a great mystery book and it is also a little funny. I recommend this book for kids but I think some adults would like it too.
Westing Game is mysterious and exciting July 2, 2008 This book is about the heirs of Sam Westing playing a game to find out who killed him. This is filled with excitement, mystery, and adventure. It is for anyone who likes a good mystery. A great book for ages 10-13.
Westing Review June 9, 2008 I read the Westing Game in 6th grade in a litature circle group, my entire group enjoyed the book. We agree'd and disagree'd on subjects and what clues ment. I would recommend this book to anyone.
A kid again April 23, 2008 I have to agree; I read this as a child and still love it. My sister ended up with our childhood copy so I had to go buy my own and it's been worth it! I read it every once in a while and find myself a kid again.
Pretty good book April 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is a mystery, set on the shore of Lake Michigan. The Westing Game is a fantastic mystery book because it twists and turns, it has a great setting and is easy to pick up and read.
The reader never knows what will happen next in The Westing Game. Who the reader thinks is the murderer may not be the murderer. The reader must always be ready to expect the unexpected. The Westing Game does what all good mysteries do: surprises the reader at the end. It is hard to put down because the reader is going be dying to know what happens next.
The Westing Game is easy to pick up and read. It has great humor that will make any person laugh. For example, Turtle says, "Whoever stole my Mickey Mouse clock better give it back. Just leave it in the hall in front of apartment 3d when no one's looking," which is funny because Turtle acts so tough, but she has a Mickey Mouse clock. The Westing Game is fun to read because it is so exciting.
The setting of The Westing Game is part of what makes this mystery fantastic. It is spooky because it is set in a mansion where nobody lives. The Westing house is old because it is rotting and nail are sticking out. It makes a great setting for a mystery book.
The Westing Game is a glorious and fun filled mystery novel. It has action and horror. This is one of the best mystery novels that I have ever read.
