Product Description
A Universalist powerhouse, the Rev. C. W. Knickerbacker (1824-1884) travelled almost nonstop over southern Michigan and Ontario, preaching, performing funerals and weddings for all who asked, including many not of his denomination. He organized two new congregations in Ontario (Olinda, Blenheim) and at least 10 in Michigan. Places he often preached include Bay City, Corunna, Dewitt, Farmington, Lansing, New Hudson, Owosso, Pontiac, Rochester, and Wayne, Michigan. This is a stapled copy of the original typed manuscript. Includes appendixes, transcriber's notes, lists of weddings and funerals, indexes of people, places, railroads, etc. Also includes several Universalist symbols and their histories. Tons of original source information unavailable anywhere else.
