Cookie cuter Moore Name in History July 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is a ripoff if you are looking for helpful information regarding Moore genealogy. It is of no help. All the information about Moores could be sumerized in two type-written pages, and that include very general information, e.g. how many WWII vets named Moore finished Grammar school. And with no comparison to the general population. Just meaningless numbers. The rest is just filler. Its only value is perhaps a so-so, small, paperback coffee table book.
A Joke May 20, 2008 56 out of 58 found this review helpful
This whole series is a joke. It was a stretch to give it one star. Amazon should be ashamed to even offer it. It is mostly boilerplate info about immigrants in general with useless and uninteresting data from census and military enlistment figures down through the centuries. Really, who cares that 11,500 of your family served in the Union Army and 8,500 in the Confederate Army!? And thanks for the trivia that I'm distantly related to Demi Moore! Wow, I didn't know that!
