Davis Landing July 29, 2008 This book was a good ending to the Davis Landing series. I like to read books in a series. I would recommend this series to anyone.
A christmas homecoming December 11, 2007 Christmas Homecoming (Davis Landing, Book 6) (Love Inspired #376) I love following Jeremy's stuggles and triumphs through this book. He has found out that Wallace was not his real father, and he struggles to find where he fits in this life. It is a great emotional, inspirational book. You should really buy it, you won't be disappointed if you do. I loved reading every part of this book. It held my attention all the way through. I also loved watching Gabe trying, to let Jeremy into her heart and her life.

From the back cover:
The Davis Landing Observer Page 5
THE GOSSIP GURU ...hears wealthy newspaper tycoon Wallace Hamilton may finally be released from the hospital, after recurring visits following his bone-marrow transplant.
But the juiciest Hamilton news is that Jeremy--who is not Wallace's son--has been in contact with his family again...and he might rejoin Hamilton Media. A certain lovely single mom has been spotted doing holiday volunteer work with the former business tycoon. Perhaps the charms and strong spiritual life of Gabi Valencia helped create this Christmas homecoming for Jeremy.
And my review:
If you found the back cover blurb confusing, you're not the only one! Since it doesn't make it very clear exactly what this book is about, I'll give a brief synopsis:
Jeremy Hamilton found out that the man he thought was his father actually wasn't. He was so devastated by the news that he quit the family business and left town. Now he's back, but still trying to deal with the complicated family situation.
Gabi Valencia is a widow, and a single mom of two girls. She has a strong faith, and it has kept her going, even though the last few years have been hard. She doesn't need a man in her life, but is attracted to Jeremy. Can these two find true love while Jeremy deals with the tricky situation of a family he only half belongs to?
CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING is part of a series by author Lenora Worth. It's obvious that most of the other Hamilton siblings have already had their own stories and found true love, and now it's Jeremy's turn. One complaint I had is that I felt a little lost, since I haven't been following the series (I only bought this book because I absolutely love Christmas romances). There were a lot of sections that I ended up just skipping past, because anything that related to Davis Landing and other Hamiltons just didn't make sense to me, since I came into the series late. And since I wasn't following the other books, I ended up not really caring all that much about the other characters.
I felt that the themes of faith, forgiveness, acceptance, friendships, family ties, and moving on were all well done. However, there was so much time devoted to those subplots that the romance never really took off. It was there, but not really focused on as much as I would have liked. The characters were not as well-rounded as they could have been. And Gabi seemed almost too perfect sometimes. She was likeable, but I kind of felt like I was only getting to see her "party manners" mask, and not the real person underneath.
But then, I'm not a big fan of most Inspirational romances, so you can keep in mind that it probably tainted my view somewhat. I would recommend this if you're following the series, but it isn't the best stand-alone novel. If you're not a fan of the author and/or following the series, you might want to try something else for your Christmas romance fix.
