Book Description A delightful photo/memory book written for children...or for the child in all of us. Simple text and beautiful photographs follow through the seasons telling what it is we love about being "up north". This is a book the entire family will enjoy.

childrens book July 16, 2007 I bought this for my father-in-law as he's an avid outdoorsmen. He's enjoyed his childhood, adult and retirement years up north. But I think he was kind of insulted by this effort. I preused it afterwards. This book is for children. Big pictures with childlike captions.
Captures the northern Michigan experience wonderfully! July 18, 2004 We travel to Michigan to Grandma's cottage each summer, and this book reflects our experiences wonderfully. The words and photos are perfect! A great book for anyone who has fond memories of vacations in northern Michigan.
A Delight for Children and Adults March 31, 2004 The author and the photographer capture much of what is unique about Michigan. The book is an artistic lesson in the beauty of environmental diversity, the intrigue of geologic processes, and the nature of agrarian subsistence. Probably best suited for children under 7 and adults over 35:). My five-year old loves it.
Delightful July 31, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A delightful literary contribution which allows the reader to almost touch, smell and sense the ambience of the changing seasons in Upper Michigan. The pictures capture the beauty of the land and reveal why the author wants to share her infatuation and enthusiasm for the land and its content.
no suprise July 10, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
as usual, Ken Scott's photography says more than can be imagined. The text is right on how it captures what we do on vacation. An amazing memory book for anyone that vacations up north or just has an affinity for the area.
