easy but not inspiering September 8, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my first raw book and i was disapointed.. I wanted colour and fun.. This did not really have any of that.. It does have some nice info parts but that is it really.. Sorry can not recomend for beginners
Very helpful! September 6, 2008 Very helpful little book for easy, quick raw food preparation. All the recipes I've tried are very good and many have become regulars in my raw repetoire. It's given me lots of good ideas too for simple, everyday raw. I think every raw foodist should keep this nice little book handy in their kitchen.
good inspiration May 25, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have found this little book to be very helpful. Yes, some of her ideas are simplicity itself. But, frankly, after 1 1/2 years of eating >90% raw, I needed some new, uncomplicated ideas. All of the gourmet stuff offered by others is wonderful but with 3 small kids, I simply don't have time or inclination to pursue that level of raw cuisine. However, I do get tired of smoothies and salads! So, this book really helped kickstart my raw menus. I like it. It is a legitimate criticism that the subtitle indicates no machines while many of the recipes call for a food processor or a dehydrator. But, other than that, I have no complaints.
