Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Made in America, Pearls Before Swine stars Rat, the boss of this outfit—arrogant, self-centered, and quick-tempered. Pig is the conscience. Zebra is a survivor (with Crocodile next-door-neighbors), and Goat is the brains. Duck is Pig's loyal but violent and unstable guard duck. The dark, twisted adventures of this bunch of goodfellas have made Pearls the fastest-growing comic strip of the decade.Join the family and get in on the action. It's whacked.

1 out of 5 stars WTF?   January 3, 2008

Stephen Pastis, creator of Pearls Before Swine, continues to amaze me. How can such an unoriginal, lame strip appear in the newspaper along with such quality comics as Dilbert, Foxtrot, Sally Forth, and even Shoe? Yet there he is, every day without fail, pumping out jokes that a 12-year-old would find boring- and then selling the "best of" that crap in book form. So, I guess I must give credit to his amazing marketing skills, and perhaps, the legion of 11 year olds who find his comic so hilarious.

5 out of 5 stars Great!!   January 3, 2008
I love the Sopratos! It is by far the best Pearls Before Swine Yet. The only bad thing is that there are only two angry bob comic strips in the book. Still it is fantastic and a defiant two thumbs up.

I really love Pearls Before Swine. This book just extends the enjoyment. I'm not sure where Pastis got the theme for the title (I know, Sopranos--but Why?) but it doesn't matter. Pig and Rat and Goat and the rest are all there, being their lovable selves.

4 out of 5 stars Why only a 4?   November 5, 2007

It skips out on Pastis' quotables from the last few compilations (notably Sgt. Piggy)...still a damn funny read though!

I think this is the funniest comic book out of all comic books! Definitely recommended! Five Stars!!!
