Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Really good author!   September 26, 2004

I was introduced to this author via a bookstore in Glen Arbor, MI, called Cottage Books. I was amazed that I hadn't heard of her before this, given that she's written several books and done a lot of tapes (Earth stories from Leelenau) - her style is really unique and wonderful. She intertwines traditional stories with contemporary life in this book and creates a true gift to the reader. I've heard the stories in their more traditional form, therefore only gave it 4 stars, but for a reader unfamiliar with the stories and characters, I would say it's a five star introduction to the stories. I'd love to see more from this author! She also does wonderful artwork, which is on the covers of her books, did a children's story that my son enjoyed hearing me read, and he loved the tape we picked up.
