Not a great study guide, but there weren't many options. June 25, 2008
Looking for a good study guide for the MTTC Spanish exam (Michigan teacher certification) has been a frustrating process. After considering several online study guides that were pricey and looked a little shady, I settled on this one as the only remaining option. As far as study guides go, it's kind of confusing. It's a very poorly organized mish mash of test concepts, sample content, and a sample test in the back. In addition, I've found quite a few Spanish spelling errors. Still, I don't regret getting this study guide simply because I think it is better than the other options I had, and I do feel it is helping me prepare quite a bit better than I would be able to independently. If you feel like you need a boost in your studying and 35 dollars isn't a huge chunk in your budget, I'd recommend this guide. If you can find another option that looks good, I'd say give it a shot. BUT be wary of the online gimmicks like - We've found the secret to help you ace this test with mere hours of studying! They definitely smell fishy. In all, I wish there was more information sharing out there between teachers on how to best prepare for these tests. If this guide does help me ace the test (3 weeks away) I'll be sure to edit this review :)
