Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A new approach to design is gaining momentum as more and more designers seek to combine the power of the computer with the personal qualities of handmade elements. "Fingerprint" offers insight into this fusion of the digital and the hand-wrought, with dozens of examples of some of the best work in the industry, including design that includes hand-lettering elements and design that incorporates collage. Featuring essays from some of the design community's leading thinkers, this book is an indispensable look at the future of design.

4 out of 5 stars Quite Excellent   October 21, 2008
Love this book! It's very inspiring to see the passions of other designers who enjoy the human elements of design as I do.
My only note is towards the seller. I found a small rip in the spine when it was listed as new but this does not affect other buyers.
As a designer in a more and more mechanized and impersonal world, YOU NEED THIS.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   October 6, 2008
To tell you the truth, I bought this item on a whim. I was much more satisfied with this graphic design book than others I have purchased recently. It is excellent if you are a visual consumer like I am. I would highly recommend the seller. It was promptly sent and received. Thanks a million for this jewel!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent variety   October 3, 2008
This book is beautifully printed and bound. The work chosen covers a much broader range of techniques and visual styles than I'd anticipated when placing my order. It's a fantastic source of inspiration for graphic designers and artists of all disciplines. I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially at such an excellent price for a relatively large, hard cover book.

I bought this book as a gift for someone else, but after seeing it in person I'm thinking of buying it for myself! It is a beautiful book!
