4 out of 5 stars Handbook of Railroad Construction for the use of American Engineers   December 17, 2007

This book is a reprint of a book written during the time the transcontinental railroads were originally built, the 1860s. If you need a book written from that era, this looks good. I returned it as I needed books written during the time my grandfather was a railroad civil engineer, in the early 20th century. The website did not indicate the time it was originally published.
