Perfect, indeed July 12, 2008 "Picture Perfect" arms me with more reasons to tout Jodi Picoult's talented writing. This is a great read.
Cassie Barnett falls hard for movie star Alex Rivers. They marry in record time and Cassie thinks she's got the world by the tail. That is until, in anger, Alex strikes her. And the spousasl abuse doesn't stop there.
In the end, Picoult delivers an ending that is sure to please. Highly recommend for this summer's read.

I FINALLY gave up... July 12, 2008 I love Jodi Picoult, I own almost all of her books and look forward to new additions to my collection. However...I cannot believe that she wrote this book. I tried a number of times to get through it, and finally just gave up! Boring, and truly unbelievable at the same time. I did not like the characters, and that is not typical of Picoult's style! I actually wrote inside the front cover of my copy "DO NOT LEND...NOT A GOOD READ!!!" I'd hate to inflict this upon someone else!
Page 36 July 9, 2008 This book has been a waste of my time and money. I made it to page 36 (after two attempts) and that's as far as I'm going to go.
I've not read any other books by Picoult; I hear good things all the time. I guess I just picked the wrong one to start with, because Picture Perfect is not enjoyable at all.
The writing is both dull and overly dramatic. The whole situation is rather soap opera-esque and unbelievable. Very, very slow.
Don't waste your time.
What a great writer June 5, 2008 I picked this up to see what all the fuss was about Jodi Picoult. The story gripped me from the first page. I couldn't put it down and when I had to, I couldn't stop thinking about the characters and what was happening. I usually read two or three books at a time, but dropped everything else to finish this. A very good story, a very good read.
The book that will not end May 6, 2008 I loved the first half or 2/3 of this book but then it seemed as if it would never end. The same scenario over and over. Too bad, as it was off to such a good start.
