Product Description
Celeste Styles is starting over. After losing her cherished salon in a suspicious fire, she has finally left her adulterous relationship and her drama-filled life in Brooklyn for the peace and tranquility of Atlanta, Georgia. But when Rah-Lo heads down south after deciding to leave his wife Asia, Celeste is floored and isn't quite sure if she wants to rekindle their affair. Meanwhile, Asia is hell bent on revenge. Vowing not to let Celeste get away with her man that easily, she, too, heads to Atlanta. But just on her heels is Ishmael Wright, ready to save the day and to warn his best friend Rah-Lo about his vengeful wife. Though Ishmael also has something else up his sleeve. Secret betrayals are exposed, bitter rivalries explode, love is lost and found. Life will never be the same on the streets of "Hotlanta" in Tracy Brown's epic new urban drama.

Tracy is the Truth July 15, 2008
"Twisted" is a sensible, drama-filled continuance of "Dime Piece".
Celeste and Rah-Lo are lovers who are destined to be together. However, there's a problem: Rah-Lo's wicked wife, Asia. She no longer loves, honors or cherishes Rah-Lo, but she'll be damned if she allows Celeste to have him, under any circumstances.
Nina and Ishmael (and Robin and Charly AND Celeste ... LOL) are in love but their relationship becomes stale due to Nina's desire for marriage, which begins to overwhelm Ishmael. Unfortunately, Nina suffers the ultimate price when she's unable to accept Ishmael's rejection.
I enjoyed the newly introduced characters as well: sassy, Keisha, Uncle James (dating a much younger gold digger) and handsome, Brayson. They were all key factors in bringing the story of Celeste and Rah-Lo to an end.
I also want to point out that I appreciated the much needed "balance" between the knowledge and insight of Mrs. Pat and Nana versus the asinine antics of Charly and Nina. At times, Asia, Charly, Nina and even Robin, were a bit much to handle. Although I admit, that the scene where Nina and Ishmael get into it at the salon, was hilarious (great job Tracy). "Twisted" was pleasurable to read to say the least.
Tracy, can we find out what's going on with Laila and Lamin (Criminal Minded) next? LOL
Twisted Up In The Game July 14, 2008 Twisted started off from where Dime Piece ended. I got so caught up in the book I refused to put it down til I was finished. Celeste got herself together and proved that you don't need a baller to take care of the things you can take care of yourself. I am so glad that Tracy showed that women don't have to have a man do for them what they can do all on their own. I was sad to see Ishmeal go like he did, but the book is called Twisted for a reason. Asia & Nina were like devils with wings, flying all over the place causing havoc everywhere they went. I was glad to see Nina's demise. To see how Raheem changed and moved on with his life can certainly show other "thugs" that getting out of the game can actually be a good thing. I thought that a 3rd part to this would be cool if he showed Rah-lo's daughters grown up and getting involved in the game. But something's are better left all said and done. I was very impressed with the book as a whole. I became a HUGE fan of Ms. Brown's when I read White Lines and have become an even bigger fan from this sequel to Dime Piece.
DJ{New jersey} July 12, 2008 I brought this book on the strength of white lines. I was so glad that I did, loved the way the story flowed and how the author revisited the characters from Dime Piece. Anyone looking for a good summer read this is it.
She Did That! July 9, 2008 I was first introduced to Tracy Brown when I read her drama filled tale, Dime Piece. So it was only natural that I'd want to see where these mixed up characters were in their lives a few years later. Well all I can say is Tracy did that! With more details than Dime Piece, Brown gave her readers a clearer view into the world of the characters that made her first novel a best seller. Looks like the kingdom of urban lit is about to have a new queen.
RIGHT ON POINT ONCE AGAIN!!! July 8, 2008 Tracy did it again!! I have read every book this author has written and she keeps getting better and better. I must say each time I read her new books, I always feel like it cannot be topped. Tracy Brown has managed to put out quality each and every time. I actually purchase her books without having to read reviews because she has not disappointed me to date. It is rare when an author can put out a sequel that becomes better than the original story. All my questions were answered at the end of the book and I did not feel cheated. Keep up the excellent work Tracy and I look forward to your next book. You have a fan for life!!!
